The cruise we chose was a 14 day Western & Eastern Caribbean. In fact it was two one week cruises and we had to disembark at the end of the first week and then embark for the second cruise. This process was slow and cumbersome, not helped by the fog that closed the port at the end of the first week nor by the number of passengers (4300 or so on the Norwegian Epic).
This was a 25th anniversary cruise. Overall it was a good experience. The service was excellent, the room attendant could not have been more helpful & professional. The room was small and in need of a introductory manual. It took us awhile to figure out how to turn on the lights. Lots a storage. Beds were comfortable & the attendant even added a foam mattress topper when asked.
We chose the to pay extra for the Thermal Spa as a way to relax and get away from the crowd. It worked well the first week but became very crowded the second week as it seems the price for the service was dropped (mentioned to us by several participants) and some staff members were also there as participants. There were time when we could not find a place to sit or lounge.
The cabins were very small with lots of storage. The balcony area was good with enough space for two adults to relax. Washroom area was ok with a small toilet enclosure, a separate sink in the main room area & tall shower enclosure. The attendant was excellent. The room was clean and well-prepared. The mirror was showing its age (some mirror backing was deteriorating. Overall - ok.
