This was my husband's and my 6th cruise with RCCL, second on Oasis. We originally planned to cruise with another couple who backed out when they discovered they were pregnant.
We'd cruised out of Port Canaveral on the Freedom before without issue, but the port is not set up well to handle to big Oasis class ships. The traffic was a mess, our Cocoa Beach Shuttle drive navigated it well but it was very backed up, not directed well and there are not enough drop off locations. Inside the check in went smoothly and quickly, but the queues were tight and dizzying.
The ship was a destination as usual, but she is showing some age. We were in an ocean view balcony on deck six, cabin 6164 to be exact. Our room was good overall. It connected to the room next door, but since our friends weren't sailing with us, we never ended up needing the connection. The seal on the balcony door was not good and it whistled a ton. Babu was the room steward and he was very good.
