Close to Miami during the winter and our offer of a free 3rd person was a good value with a family member visiting. Nice trip and great weather. Stateroom was disappointing, with very tired carpeting, mattress needed replacement, no plug near the bed for a person with a CPAP. Small balcony. Tiny bathroom. Closet is literally less than a foot from the side of the bed.
Returned from Western Caribbean 3-5-17. The exit from the ship stands out as one of the least efficient plans ever and colors our experience. Once off the forward elevator to the designated departure point on deck 7, a long, long line greeted us, traveling forward to the theater, coming back to the elevator area, moving toward the casino, then through it, before heading back to the forward exit, to find a long line back to the rear exit on the outside deck.
With 4000 passengers and another 1500-1600 crew, there is not one dining area that is not very noisy. The cafe on Deck 15 is spacious but beware they don't whisk away your uneaten plate when you go for a beverage.
Very cozy, which we expected, but our Norwegian Jade cabin layout spoiled us. This was tight quarters, with a perplexing spot for the closet/storage being along one side of the bed. Thankful that our large suitcases fit beneath the bed. The two singles together as a large bed had very bad mattresses, in immediate need of replacement. The pillows were kind of dead also. In the bathroom, placement of the toilet between the shower and the storage left very little space. The balcony was small but pleasant for a late-night drink, port watching or reading in a shady, quiet spot.
Once aboard we had lunch and staterooms were released. No problems.
New venue. Went to shop a bit, returned to ship for lunch.
Group went out twice for some shopping. Limited time for excursions.
