This is the largest and most crowded cruise ship we have taken. There were 1600 children on board as this was school break week in NYC. The ship had many features that were of no interest to someone in their 60's but would be entertaining to families. The embarkation process was very good once you reach the terminal but be prepared for a long line of cars to get to that point. Food was good in both the dining room and the Windjammer. Service in the dining room was slow but congenial and the room steward was helpful. The featured shows for which reservations are required were well produced but not to our taste. Overall the evening entertainment was not sufficient.
Other comments concerning floating mall atmosphere in the "royal esplanade" are well considered as this venue was largely devoted to sales mostly of high end products.
The Solarium is a good refuge for adults if you can find a lounge chair. Chair hogging was a problem throughout the ship.
Cabin wa spacious enough and well appointed
We bypassed the vendors right off the ship and headed for Bay Street. The best part is the Strw Market and the stalls manned by locos. Nice inexpensive souvenirs
