1st time on Liberty, was on the Navigator January 2016, almost felt like the same ship. Getting around the ship was easy, we really enjoy the layout of the ship.
Embarkation was a breeze since we were suite holders and we showed up around 2pm, after the initial crowd and before the last set of airline shuttles.
Disembarkation was a totally different experience than we'd ever had on any cruise. There were no crewmen anywhere to be found to let people know what was going on, bulletin board saying that our disembarkation group had already been called 30min early when in fact nobody had been called yet. we were supposed to be off ship at 8:45am, at 9:05am somebody finally showed up to let us know that luggage had still not been cleared at customs so it would be a few more minutes.
We liked the cabin, had plenty of space to relax. My wife loved the idea of the deep bath tub in the suite, but then never seemed to have enough time to enjoy it.
Hired private tour company, Channin Boddin Tours, through Trip Advisors. Loved the Tour and the island.
Hired a private car, Ken U Belize It tours, to show us the city. We enjoyed it. Even though the morning show guy on the ship said that if you didn't have an excursion to not even bother getting off the ship, said there was absolutely nothing to do, because it was forty miles to closest thing of interest. Don't know what he's talking about, you get off the tender and you are in down town Belize City.
We hired, Tour by Taxi, through Trip Advisor, to show us the island. It was a beautiful island, the water was unbelievably clear. We really enjoyed it.
We stayed a few days in Galveston. The ocean water is nasty looking, brown. Don't know what it is from, think it is the color of sand of the island just being stirred up in the surf. We took a couple of tours through historic sights while there, very interesting place to visit. Will likely go back to see more.
