Entertainment: The Boleros lounge was our favorite band. Lively and fun. Overall i think RCCL excels on entertainment options. Almost all shows were enjoyable. Plenty of decent entertainment. I think the ice show is the same one from 10 years ago though!
Food was poor. For instance one night I ordered Cesar salad with chicken as the main. It came with breaded chicken breast (probably left overs) instead of grilled chicken. Yuck! Everything looked good but they are using poor ingredients. My husband had a steak that he couldn't even eat. All that being said you don't go on RCCL for the food, or at least we don't and you won't starve that's for sure. It has gone down since our last cruise ten years ago. The service in the main dining room was excellent this trip. We bought the drink package and were glad we did with so many sea days. We did our fair share of drinking. No complaints there. Another negative is the all the hawking of restaurants etc. It really make them like a budget cruise line, TACKY. Maybe they are a budget line?? Windjammer breakfast were good, lots of options decent service.
On a more positive note the ship appeared in very good shape and was clean. Our cabin steward was great. I enjoyed the cruise director, he was sick but we saw him briefly before shows. He is witty and we enjoyed his humor. Caveat: This ship is designed for kids! I would not go on it in the summer unless your are bringing the kiddos! Was fine in January, some kids but not excessively.
Very clean, well maintained. Excellent cabin steward. Better than an inside. A good value.
Paradise Beach Club on our own. Excellent
Royal Palms on our own. Average. 7 mile beach excellent though! Taxis not very organized at this port. Cozumel better!
Just shopped in port
