We chose this cruise because we wanted to see the WW 2 landing beaches at Normandy but Viking provided so many more experiences. My husband came home with a handful of sand from Omaha Beach. We are both interested in World War 2 history and I am a retired history teacher. We enjoyed Monet's gardens, Rouen and all the castles and churches. I was able to light a candle in 5 churches in memory of my mother who was of French heritage. The food was wonderful and the staff friendly and accommodating. Evening entertainment in the lounge was so much fun and we enjoyed meeting new people in the dining room each evening. Zoe visited the bridge, the kitchen, and had a cooking lesson.

It was a wonderful vacation highlighted on the last night be seeing the Eiffel Tower with flashing lights. I have recommended Viking to all my friends.

Cabin Review

We were on the lower level but the cabin was perfect for our needs.
