Sail Date: Dec 2016

Had no troubles getting to and from and off and on the ship in San Juan - note that we just used taxis instead of Viking transfers. Saved $40 on this. Handling of luggage at the port - both off and on - was very efficient. Also, our travel to San Juan did not involve Viking.

Was somewhat disappointed with the specialty restaurants - nothing remarkable but perhaps we went on the "wrong" nights. However, there were plenty of other dining options and they are quite good, particularly the World Cafe and the Wintergarden for tea.

Service and crew were excellant! The servers in the World Cafe exceeded all possible expectations. Shore excursions - even those we paid for - were generally disappontedly subpar. Also, we missed one port (Tortola) because of weather but rumor had it that another cruise ship docked one hour later. I hope that is untrue.
