My husband and I chose this cruise to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our second cruise - the first one was on the Conquest in Jan 2008 with our 19 and 21 yr old sons. On the Valor, it was just the two of us. The Valor is a "sister ship" to the Conquest.

We loved the specialty steakhouse and dinner in the main dining room. My husband is a chef and was very impressed with the food quality, portions and presentation at the steakhouse. I was impressed by the glorious chocolate desserts - especially the chocolate dessert sampler at the Steakhouse and of course my daily fix of the Chocolate Molten lava cake in the main dining room.

All of our cabin and dining room staff were very friendly, attentive and always greeted us by name. Great view and experience in our port side balcony cabin. Plenty of storage/cupboard space. Our cabin location was slightly forward of mid-ship but not prone to the movement that sometimes accompanies cabins in the front 1/3 of the ship. A few times we felt/heard vibrations from the late night show at the main theater, but it wasn't really a problem because we were usually at that late showing. One of our favorite things about having a balcony stateroom was being able to go outside at any time. I loved sitting out there late at night, then falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, and getting up early to watch the sun rise each morning. Sunrise in the Caribbean is amazing. Read more
