  • Cabin Type: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We choose this cruise because of the length of the cruise that leaves on that specific date. We had one particular date and a specific amount of time to be gone.

This ship is smaller than others that we have been on. It was filled with retired people escaping the cold winter. However, that did not affect the activities. Serenade had something going all the time. Good entertainment that we really did not want to miss. But the point of our trip was to slow down and recover from a hectic life. And we were able to do that. We ordered room service, sat on our balcony and read. We did participate in the shows, some games and some restaurants.Everything we participated in was high quality. The nightly entertainment in the theater was amazing. The food served in all of the restaurants was exceptional. The staff was outstanding.

It was a memorable cruise!!! Best we've had.

One thing we did different this cruise was participate in the Murder Mystery Dinner. That was so much fun. The actors did a great job in making us believe we had witnessed a murder. We had to solve the murder.

Royal Carribean has always done their best to see that we are pampered.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin E3 7148

The cabin was small but was very livable for us. We moved our stuff in and put the luggage away. It worked nicely. It was comfortable.

We were on the 7th deck which sits on the top of the life boats. We were not able to see the water because of the lifeboats. The life boats were an obstruction in our view. We tried to change it after we saw that but the ship was full and they could not move us.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Port Everglades has a webcam that televises every cruise ship leaving. Our grandkids were able to see our departure. That was cool.

Ft. Lauderdale travelers have outgrown the airport. The airport is trying to keep up but shows growth pain. It was a mad house.

Horseback Riding

The man that owns the 35 horses did a great job with us non-horse people. He was very patient, thorough and protective of his horses and his customers. Well worth the money.

We had an exceptional tour guide. We rode in an open top bus and went to several beaches. The guide gave facts and information. He made the tour fun but the beaches were the big hit.

We just walked around the port. Grenanda had an old fort to explore. The views from the top of the fort were amazing. We walked to the shops and bought the fresh spices. Most of the town was closed because it was Sunday. This island is Christian.

The description of this excursion was deceptive. They led us to believe that we would see historical and interesting sights on the island while traveling to a beach.

We traveled through neighborhoods of pricey houses. Went to a crowded small beach and stayed for 1 1/2. Our tour guide had an attitude and opinion and was not afraid to voice it.

We hired a taxi at the pier who drove us 15 minutes to a very nice beach. We stayed for a couple of hours and decided to head back to the ship. Taxis were waiting on us. We had lunch in the village by the pier. Great food. Bonaire is an island that I would love to go back to. The people take good care of their island.
