Sail Date: Jan 2017
Cabin: Mid-Ship Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

This was my first NCL cruise and my last. Having about 100 cruise days on other lines, NCL left me less than impressed. I was traveling with extended family which are NCL cruisers, which had not been on Getaway before. They said this was unlike their other NCL cruises and will try some other cruise lines.

I will start with the good:

Embarking and disembarkation went smoothly although slow. We were on the ship about noon and off the ship by 8:30am.

Mid-Ship Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin OB

Ocean view cabin 5168 was clean and large for 2 people. It sleeps up to 5, has a full size bathtub and double sink. 1 bunk, fold out double couch and the king or 2 single beds, a nice size desk area and plenty of storage. We got lucky with a guaranteed stateroom.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

Man island that was extremely crowded. There were no available beach chairs at the beach or pool and very little shade. Any drinks or food cost real money. Excursions into Belize were not available or would take all day as it required a boat ride to the mainland and a long bus ride.

Cozumel

I did a little shopping in Cozumel
