Being loyal Princess cruisers we wanted to experience the "Celebrity Difference" for ourselves. I was simply amazed at the level of service for this "Christmas" cruise. The embarkation was easy and the methodology of check-in was good. The Miami local staff is much different from the ship crew and the Reflection service staff. The levels of service are different as the shore crew are Miami people working for Celebrity and the Port. The Ship was amazing in the service expertise and level of help that was displayed during our 7 days aboard the Reflection. It was very apparent that the staff had gotten the Miami turnaround tactics well planned and this was very evident. The service staff was everywhere during first day ceremonies and muster drill.

The main difference during the evening is that ship personnel can be seen all over the public areas in their uniforms and they are very social with all the guests. The shore excursion area was manned by ship staff and ship officers on the pier and in the open town area. This was reassuring to those who want to feel and see security near them during the port area lines. The ship venues are wonderful. Here are some points from our experience. Customer service is open all night and there is no line after 11 pm. The folio system is almost instantaneous on your room TV. The Sea day specials vary thru out the ship for food and goods.

The aqua-class restaurant "BLU" was absolutely fabulous. The manager Dario and his serving staff are on point for every meal and leave no subtle nuance to want for. Our waiter "Budiasa" and his assistant "Alec" simply made our cruise amazing. The level of service, food quality and portion was simply perfect for me and my wife. The Sommelier lady was great with her pairings and recs for dessert drinks. The world class bar with Lazar and friend were great. Our room Steward Jacarious on deck 11 made our stay seamless and never a want for more. The pool bar had Azunda and Joaquim to mix your wildest concoction while enjoying the pool area. The sushi on 5 is amazing. The Russian caviar expert and sushi maker "Atta" prepared for us all we could possibly eat in lobster and sushi for a per item Prix fixe. The Ocean cafe buffet had most pleasing food assortments for breakfast, lunch and supper. The Ice cream assortment was most pleasing. The ship officers were visibly seen everywhere on the ship during all the daily activities socializing with the cruisers. The overall ambiance is great and the comfort level of the ship areas is nice. We will surely cruise on Celebrity Reflection again based on our wonderful "Christmas Cruise".

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

This is a hump cabin with the extended balcony area. The convenience is that this room is on the 11th floor and next to our friends in the big suites 1611 and 1607. The bed is next to the lavatory and the A/C was great.

Port Reviews

San Juan

We walked the old San Juan to the Fort and then walked the shops back to the ship past the Big Church.

St. Maarten

We taxi to Maho /WSunset beach and watch the jets land and enjoy the area.
