Sail Date: Dec 2016
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

We had taken a break from cruising - in Nov we sailed on Reflection and had a terrible experience. Poor service, food, quality of entertainment, just not what we expected of Celebrity. Equinox brought back some of the missing sparkle - but has left me in a quandary, can I trust other ships or was Equinox an anomaly?

Ship: Clean, well laid out, the voyage was constantly rough and I actually encountered sea sickness for the first time

Cabin: 1194 Concierge Class, our stateroom attendant was excellent, we were on the bump and had a bit larger balcony which we enjoyed. The daily canapes - much much better than Reflection, but would it kill them to give you two each since there are two of you in the stateroom...

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

The cabins have gotten smaller, but we make do with the storage options. This cabin was on the bump so the balcony was larger. The attendant did a fantastic job.

Port Reviews

Bonaire

Bonaire - we dove in Bonaire, there wasn't more to do other than shopping and beaches.

Aruba

Aruba was a good dive spot, we took an island tour - but other than beach and diving there wasn't much to do here.

Curacao

We dove here, but there were loads of other options, as well as just wandering around. We were pleasantly surprised.

Barbados

The diving in Barbados was some of the best we encountered on this cruise. It was boxing day so things were closed, unless you went through the Cruise Line. Overall it is a place we would like to go back to and explore, it is a beautiful island with very pleasant people.

St. Lucia

We dove here - but overall this reminded us more of Jamaica than some of the other islands.

St. Maarten

We went over and checked out Maho - it was very crowded which is to be expected. The experience was fun overall - you do need to be careful with the taxi drivers as they can be very shifty, continue to look for the good ones and do not be taken advantage of - the price should go down as they fill up the van. There are lots of beaches and shopping options - it's fun to compare Dutch to the French - but beyond diving, beaches and shopping it's pretty limited.

Antigua

This was one of our favorite islands, we took the circumnav cruise around the island, snorkeled with rays, etc. there is tons to do here, the island is clean and the people are very friendly. We want to return and explore more.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We live in FL, Fort Lauderdale has loads to do and check out.
