We just went on our first cruise. Honestly, we chose Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas because of the cruise dates, we needed to leave after our college kids finished finals but wanted to be back before Christmas Eve. Even though it was not planned, we are thrilled our first cruise was with Royal Caribbean. The embarkation went great, we stayed at the Homewood Suites with the cruise package, with free transportation to the ship and parking included for our car. The shuttle driver was excellent and provided many helpful tips. We had no problem getting through security and getting our sea passes issued and were able to board the ship quickly. It was not long before our rooms were ready. Our cabins were great, we were on deck 3 near the front of the ship. Our staterooms were excellent, our only advice is that we were glad we brought along a three outlet travel surge protector with usb ports because there are not an abundance of outlets in the room. Our luggage arrived not long afterward and we were happy that the department store suit bags that my husband and kids used for their suits got to our room without issue. We loved our time onboard Oasis of the Seas, the main dining room was a delight, especially due to our great wait staff. We played trivia on board, relaxed in the sun, and our kids enjoyed the hot tubs, We reserved a Beach Bungalow in Labadee which was worthwhile. We were so glad that we scheduled snorkeling in the Bahamas, it ended up to be one of the highlights of the trip.
