We were recommended by our cruise consultant to try Royal Caribbean.We found that there was so many things which failed to deliver an enjoyable cruise.From the lack of air conditioning and the water being turned off in the cabin.The mini bar consists of one bottle of wine and nothing else.? The food in the buffet was always cold and the service was poor.We never tried fresh coffee because the line was too long always.The staff were never happy or smiling and the bars up on deck were always understaffed.We paid for the drink package and yet we were still charged for drinks.We paid a cash deposit but in Noumea we were not allowed to access this cash to enable us to go ashore.We were told we can only access our money on the last day of cruising.This was my money??So we were stuck on board for the day as our keycard was not accepted by the ATM.My partner was in tears one night due to the rudeness and surly attitude and comments by the bar staff.After a complaint we were told that management would get back to us within 24 hrs?.They never did.Talking on a mobile and cleaning the bar seems more important than serving the guests?? Unless you spend time checking the days activities on the t.v. screen in your cabin it is most likely you will miss many activities.The lack of communication is bad and the lack of organisation is poor too.Also to use my time dining you have to book ahead,we did not know this and therefore missed out.We hope it is only this Ship in their fleet like this,but after this cruise we would not recommend Royal Caribbean at all.
The room was clean and tidy.
