This is was our 4th Celebrity cruise and all have been in the Carribean. We sailed in Aqua Class, the third time we have done so.
I try to have a realistic attitude about cruising. Weather can be iffy. As well, cost cutting is happening in all areas of travel & accommodation and cruise lines are no exception. I noticed very few changes on Celebrity between this cruise on Equinox and our cruise on Reflection last year. In fact, Equinox probably had the edge over last year's cruise. Was it perfect? No. But it was very, very close :)
Overall, a high level of service across 11 nights. This ship worked as a unit and staff seemed intent on delivering an excellent customer experience. Meals in Blu were consistently good and the staff were fantastic. We never waited once for a table - this was the best run Blu we have encountered. Service in Cafe Baccio was top notch - how on earth did they remember my order most mornings? Lunch Buffet in the Ocean View always had a huge amount of choice and lots of healthy options. The Asian selection was delicious as were the grilled meats. I really don't know how they provide this level of quality & variety when catering for the masses. As for drinks, we loved the location of the Sunset Bar. Hats off to the bartending skills at both the Martini Bar and the World Class Bar. The Martini Bar has never been more popular but we were always served within a few minutes and it is worth the wait.
Standard AQ cabin, good size balcony. Quiet location, couldn't hear any noise from neighbouring cabins. But a lot of vibration in the section of the ship...we got used to it
