We live in Florida, so taking a cruise is just a two hour car ride. We just look for a good price and off we go.We do prefer Princess and always look for their cruises first.
This one wasn`t one of their better efforts. First the ship was in dry dock for a couple weeks, then a trans-Atlantic crossing. You would think everything would be ready to go, not so much in our room! The refrigerator was not cold, the TV wasn`t working and even the room safe wasn`t working....really? Our son, daughter-in-law and grand daughter also came on this cruise.( their first time on Princess)
Our dining room was the Concerto, the food was outstanding, and our waiters Don & Clark were the best we`ve ever had!! And then there was Alfredo`s, Now remember we have a six year old with us. We go in and get seated, and now we wait, 10, 15, 20 minutes, no waiter...nothing! The six year old is hungry and wants pizza, so my son runs up the the pool area and gets her a slice. She doesn`t care where it comes from or who makes it. She's hungry! Well... the hostess sees what`s going on and comes over the the table with a very bad attitude and tells my son he can not bring in pizza from another venue.! We tell her that we`ve been here for 20-25 minutes and didn`t even have water yet !. NOW ..we get service...LOL. We had our drinks and were told there is a 20 minute wait for the food, and we said, fine. We had everything we ordered in the next 5 minutes tops!! Guess they wanted us out of their fast! The food wasn`t all that good, no taste, flat, not worth the wait.
When we first arrived, we were surprised, the refrigerator wasn`t working, the TV wasn`t working, and the room safe wasn`t working !!! After talking with our room steward everything was taken care of in an hour or so. The room was fine after that.
Only embarked and disembarked
Only walked off the ship for a few pics. Been there several times before
