This was my first cruise. The trip was "paid for" by a family member, though with drinks, excursions and other fees I ended up spending around $800. If I had paid for the entire trip I'd be more than just disappointed.

I'll start by saying the staff was excellent and as far as anything having to do with people (not our fellow passengers, but the people managing/running the ship) I would give this group an A++. Friendly, quick to respond, and interesting - we had more fun conversations with the staff (bartenders, waiters, housekeeping) than we did with any of the ships passengers.

I live 20 minutes from SF so the highlight of the trip for me was being able to leave the house and be on the ship within an hour (same with the return) and also to be able to sail under the Golden Gate Bridge, first on a very lovely clear afternoon and when we returned, just before sunrise.

Cabin BB

The cabin was small and looked outdated. Our balcony was nice. I can't imagine booking an interior room on a ship like this. With nothing to do outside of the room, where can you go to veg out and relax away from the crowds? One other thing - Princess' TV selections are ridiculous. They play ONE EPISODE of The Love Boat, on a loop, every day. Why not play more than one episode? How hard is that? A couple movie channels, Fox and MSNBC, HGTV, that was about it.
