This was our first cruise- two adults and two children sharing an interior room so potentially as cheap as this experience could be. I was therefore a but surprised when I totalled up at the end of the cruise and discovered that I had paid RCI just over £7000 for the experience.

My first impression is that it is a ship of two halves, and you decide which half you are more comfortable in. If you wanted to dress up and enjoy waiter service, you could eat in the main dining rooms and drink in the Olive and Twist, if you prefers more relaxed, ' salt of the earth" type, (dare I say Blackpool or Benidorm) experience then you could go to the self service windjammer canteen and drink in the Dog and Badger.

In the evening, we mainly ate in the dining room. The food was good but not outstanding, the service on the other hand was outstanding- well done Allyn and Preston our waiters who did make us feel special. We mostly ate at about 6 each evening, but were on my time so could change this if we wanted. However, whilst we were generally shown straight to our table at 6, by the time you got to 8 o'clock, you would have to queue for quite some time for a table under this arrangement.
