We chose this cruise company as it was recommended by our local Travel Agent as being disabled friendly, we have 2 disabled children, one physically, one Autistic, so this seemed ideal solution. Never been on a cruise ship before so we thought it may be a little noisy and crowded but there were plenty of quiet spots for us and the children, loads to see and do on board as well as the trips ashore. We chose short trips ashore which were great tasters for parts of Italy, and this was ideal for us.We visited Pisa and Pompeii on 2 separate days, these were excellent and well organised although our daughter couldn't get round most of Pompeii as too steep and uneven ground but found a lovely outside cafe in the market square.
All the staff on Harmony are so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, from our Room Manager, Diana, to the waiting staff in the restaurants and the chefs in the Windjammer (especially Steve !) they do Royal Caribbean and the guests PROUD !! We were made to feel like VIP's during our week long stay. The facilities are fantastic, great for wheelchair users, although our cabin door was not wide enough to get the wheelchair through unless it was folded but it was not a huge problem. We got cabins with adjoining balconies and connecting door in case of any problems. Atmosphere is brilliant throughout the ship, we all felt safe enough to go and explore alone or together, plenty of shows/music at night. Service was top class throughout, only hiccup was our room service breakfast order for early morning trip was not picked up but when we phoned they rushed it through for us, BRILLIANT! Will definately go again!
Our cabin definately had the WOW factor! Absolutely fabulous and spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, extremely comfy beds and fantastic shower in en-suite bathrooms. Seats on balcony very comfortable and fantastic views day or night!
