The Viking Homeland cruise appealed to us because our our ancestry. The cities we visited were very interesting and the tours were well organized and escorted. After an initial issue with our cabin, we were moved to a fabulous suite that was simply outstanding in every way. The service from our steward and all the staff was excellent and constant. We had a wonderful time and were very happy with the service we received wherever we went on the ship. The restaurants were very tastefully decorated and the food was terrific. Our favorite restaurant was the Chef's Table and we loved the varied menu over the cruise. The included wine selections were good, but the premium selections were well worth the additional fee.

The overall condition of the ship was great and everything was always clean and sparkling. The public areas were very comfortable and spacious, and the entertainment was great as well. Viking Ocean Cruises is definitely the best cruise line in our opinion! If you want excellent service, wonderful food, luxurious accommodations, great tours and value for your money, then Viking is where you want to go!
