This was our third Viking European river cruise, and our first on a longship. From the time we arrived in Amsterdam to the day we departed the cruise, our trip was flawless. The staff was very courteous and responsive to our needs, the meals were interesting and delicious, and the excursions lead by seasoned locals were fun and informative.

We added the two day pre-sailing option at the Raddison Blu which was a great opportunity to get acclimated to the time change and enjoy the city. The added Sunday morning progressive food and wine noshing excursion thru the streets of Amsterdam was my favorite.

Program Director, Rene, was one of the highlights of the cruise with his energy to see every day ran smoothly. His outstanding personality and wit kept us laughing.

Cabin D

Seemed a bit smaller than the older Viking ships cabins; but that may be because the bathroom and shower seemed to be a bit larger. The room certainly served our needs as we didn't join the cruise to stay in our room; we joined to imerse ourselves with the itinerary Viking outlined for us.

The steward assigned to our room was very courteous and kept our room in "ship shape" condition.
