4th cruise with Princess. We have had good experiences in the past with Princess, but this one had a problem with the food quality. Essentially in the Horizon Court the food was often cold, over cooked and lacking in presentation. The meat often made me want to be sick as it looked so unappetising. Sabatinis restaurant provides a very pleasant environment, but the food was essentially salt with some meat thrown in. The mini suite was excellent though with 2 TVs, plenty of room and a bathtub. everyhing worked. This ship has one of the most stupid design flaws I have ever witnessed. There are stairs only at the aft and forward areas. The mid ship is served only by elevators. You can imagine the long waits. Even if you want to go up or down one or two floors, you must take the elevator. I understand they realise this was a mistake as the hidden away emergency stairs will be converted to pax stairs during the dry docking in September. However, the stupidity also lies in the call butons for the 6 elevators in mid ship. Four are connected to one button and the other two have seperate buttons. This mans that people often press all 3 buttons, get on the first elevator to arrive and then two more elevators will still stop on that floor even though nobody is there. I lost count of the number of times I was in an elevator that stopped at virtually every floor letting the invisible man/woman in!! Princess, fix this now!! THe Princess entertainment was pretty average too. The acts from outside though were excellent.
