Cabin Review

I am glad we chose a balcony, on deck 4 aft 4145. Balcony is spacious enough. I would prefer 2 of the same deck chairs. One was very uncomfortable. We still highly recommend a balcony. Even though it is Alaska, we did enjoy our morning coffees out on our balcony, during the sunny days we had. We also love the fresh ocean air and the abundant wild life all around, or just the whispering of the mountains.

The cabin is ample room for the 2 of us. There is a sofa bed, suitable for an adult, if need be. It is also a connecting cabin. The balcony serves its purpose for the 2 of us. I think it is tight for 3 adults. The bed is sumptuous comfortable. I am glad the mirror is not facing the bed. Instead, it is above the head board. Storage is essential. There are 3 cupboards for hanging items, (no space for long dress or pants), 2 deep drawers at the base of the bed. For 7 day cruise, it is enough. However, for longer cruise, 14 days +, I would like more drawers & shelves.

The bathroom layout lends itself to appear spacious and it is very functional. The only thing I would change would be the faucet on the vanity. Single lever type is more convenient for me. I think it is easier to control water temperature, and also not as messy. There is always water around the faucet.

Instead of just shower, this bathroom has a bathtub. I didn't think I care for the tub, but I love it! Like I said, this cruise was to enjoy the amenities. I enjoyed a few baths.

Water pressure is excellent, and the handheld shower head was a pleasure to use. I like the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel in its containers, attached, eliminates the messy little bottles laying around. A caution, before your first shower, test the drain.

Our cabin is above the kitchen to the main dining room. Not that we hear the kitchen noises, but the smell of bacon or scramble eggs first thing in the morning can be welcoming or not, depending on your preference.
