With this being my first cruise, I don't have any other cruises to base my experience on. Bu, I can relate this cruise to my other holidays where I stayed at a hotel and found tourist thing to do.

I've stayed at the Four Seasons in Seattle and Maui, at the Del Coronado in San Diego, and at Nayara Hotel, Spa & Garden, Costa Rica. These places were fabulous to stay and the staff were fantastic to a fault.

The crew and Viking Cruise, particularly the Grand European river cruise, now fall into the same category. I can't say enough about the staff and their leader, consierge and program director. Every detail was covered. And when I wanted to move from the the plan of the cruise, all I had to do was ask. If I wanted some a little different, no problem. If I wanted to see something more, they asked which direction I wanted to go in.
