We have been on approx. 20 cruises and of those 15 have been on RCCL. We chose this sailing for two reasons, the first being we could drive to the port from CT and avoid the flying hassle and secondly the price for 12 nights was fantastic! Several things are different for embarking. First you drop off your luggage then you park your car in the adjacent parking garage ($20 per day paid up front). Then you head to the terminal, you need to speak to an agent in a turquoise colored sweater or blazer, they are both inside and outside the terminal. There is no longer a reservation desk! You also do not get a sea pass card till you go to your room at 1:00pm. We arrived at the port about 10:45 am and on the ship at 11:30. Once the ship was cleared for the nexr cruise passengers to go aboard Diamond and Emerald cruises were allowed on first, gold and first time cruises after we boarded. There were several places to grab lunch, the windjammer, the two 70 cafe and the solarium bistro. Rooms were ready promptly at 1:00pm. There was so much to do, the entertainment staff was fantastic! The shows were good (We will Rock you was very long about 2 hours). The guest entertainers were all good, the comedian was great but alas he only did a brief show opening night and then one adult show at 11 on day 3 and that was it for comedy shows for the whole cruise. :( We loved two 70 any time of the day or night, the vistaramas were awesome and the virtual concert with the Washington DC orchestra was outstanding. Go to the talk about two 70 and you will be impressed. We ate breakfast and lunch here regularly. Ifly was a different experieince, you either love it or hate it. I did it once and that was enough for me! Loved the view from North Star, went twice while at ports of call. We did bumper cars a couple times and watched the trapeze school as well as watched the flow riders. There is a break out puzzle room that is not advertised that we had a great time at, but alas we did not solve the puzzle in the allotted time :(. The solarium was great and they did their best to keep people from reserving chairs no one was really using. Most seadays the solarium chairs were taken by 9am, thu only about 5 people were in the hot tubs and 0 in the pool, just 100's of towels over chairs! Usual activities during the day, trivia, line dancing, battle of the sexes, pool games etc. all well done by a very friendly upbeat staff! At night the music hall hosts bands, adult karoke and a DJ most activities very good. Food was ok in the dining rooms, hint you could use, preview all dining menus and if you like one better then another you can order from it. I mixed and matched from various menus. We had classic dynamic dining so we had a set time at the various restaurants with the same waitstaff. Worked out very well! We ate at Chops (excellent), Jamies (very good) and Wonderland ( excellent, but you have to be adventurous and trust the waiter!)it is food you will probably never get a chance to try again! Shore excursions: America's cup race in St. Marteen fun! Botanical gardens in ST. Martin OK, no good for handicap folks, lots of stairs, on the side of a hill. Went to beach and fort on our own at St. Kitts. We hired our own taxi for the day. He even waited for us to go back to the ship change into bathing suits and have lunch before going to the beach, then he waited at the beach till we were ready to go back to the ship all for $80 plus a nice tip! San Juan walked from the ship to the two forts, town was very clean, tree lined streets pretty. Lots of well cared for stray cats, and lots of police felt very safe. We had an inside room with virtual balcony on the 8th floor. It was just fine, plenty of room, the virtual balcony made it seem bigger and it was nice seeing whether it was day or night outside! Only complaint was very few hangers (12 total) not many for two people for 12 nights. Disembarking was a breeze off the ship by 8:30 no lines at all! Wonderful time had by both my husband and myself! Enjoy! PS If you have sailed on RCCL ships with large H2O zones for kids before, this is not one of them!

Lots of storage space. Nice size room for two people. Loved the virtual balcony, even has sound which you can turn on and off! FYI Sea pass cards keep the lights on!
