We are avid cruisers, been on a few different lines and ships but ultimately chose this ship and cruise because of its departure port and because it is a new ship. We booked the cruise more than a year in advance.
Embarkation: We made our appointment for 11-11:30 and arrived at the port a little late, due to traffic and we were lost due to the endless road closures.... traffic is not well controlled as many lanes of traffic funneled down to 2 lanes. I also was astounded at how many people did not wait in line but rather drove up the sides to simply cut in. If this is a trait of New Jersey drivers, no thank you.We crawled along until we got to the cruise building. Once we unloaded our luggage we were met by the porter who tagged our bags. We were greeted outside the terminal by a man with his iPad and scanner where he checked us in, took our pictures and scanned our passes and sent us on to security. we made it thru security with no wait, tops it was 15 minutes from sidewalk to walking onto the ship. Very easy.
Stateroom: we were on deck 8 room, 502 . Our room was ready at 1pm. when we got to our room our luggage was waiting for us.This was very nice we were unpacked and settled before muster at 330pm the room is very spacious. Storage was great too especially the closets on each side of the bed. Bathroom was a good size too.
hate this stop, you have to pay for activities that are over priced, for being an RC island things should be complimentary
good shopping, but buyer beware, on more than one occasion shop owners tried to short change me.
