Sail Date: Mar 2016

Once we managed to get to the port (Bayonne Bridge was closed and detour was not helpful. But thankfully OnStar found us another bridge) everything went great. We had perfect weather and smooth sailing. There was a norovirus outbreak prior to our sailing so extraordinary sanitizing was going on for several days. Actually, we were very happy that ALL people were forced to sanitize and/or wash their hands before going into venues or places to eat. We prefer to eat in the Windjammer so sinks are available where people were sent to for hand washing. On other cruises, it was interesting to see people go out of their way to avoid washing or sanitizing. At the end of the cruise, the Captain told us that no one got sick on the cruise. Now if all people would continue to wash!

We had been on the Quantum of the Seas twice before (November 2014 and March 2015) and there was much more to do and see on this cruise. My wife was disappointed that there were no books in the library as they were being sanitized. They were returned later in the cruise, but we found out about its reopening just by accident. It is too bad that there is no way to get to the library except through 270 which would be difficult when the show is going on.

Our Outside Stateroom with a balcony on deck 7 was as expected since it was of the class of ships that we had been on. There was plenty of storage space.

Port Reviews

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

New terminal and parking garage makes it so much more efficient.

Labadee

Would have been better had it not been so windy. But one can not control the weather.

Falmouth

We enjoyed browsing the shops at this port.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Only walked around the shops at the port and returned.

Cozumel

Just toured the shops and returned to the ship to get a lounge chair while others were off doing their thing.
