This review is for all the reviews I have read that are nitpicking the NCL Epic and it's enormous size. It's a big boat. True. It will require some walking to get around. True. You know it's a big boat when you book the cruise, so you're not allowed to complain about how big it is in your review.

Now, let's get to the review.

This was a fantastic family cruise for us in every possible aspect. I'll break it down quickly by categories.

Cabin Review

Family Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M4

The "Wave Design" does make for a slightly awkward cabin layout, but the use of space is the best it can be. Lots of storage for stowing gear and supplies. The shower is excellent for the size of the cabin, and while the toilet is somewhat cramped, how much time do you really spend in there anyway? If I had to nitpick about anything, it would be the length of the bed, but I'm 6ft 4in tall, so there aren't many cruise ship beds that are going to fit me perfectly anyway, and I know this going in.

The balcony is a good size for the cabin with two chairs and two little side tables for relaxing.

We were travelling with a 6 and 7 year old and the kids beds in the room were more than adequate for them.
