On reading some of the passengers reviews I think we must have been on a different ship !! My friend and myself have cruised with Marella many times and we both agreed that the trip on Voyager was the best yet …. The food was excellent , we ate breakfast and lunch in The Kitchens and evening meal in Latitude . A varied choice of meals each evening . The waiting staff were attentive and polite at ...
Was getting a little worried seeing all the negative reviews but I was pleased with my return to the Discovery 2 and my first cruise since Covid and as a solo traveller. The staff, food and general ambience of the ship were very good. Being the first full week of September, very were very few children onboard which was a new experience. I had a deluxe balcony cabin on deck 7 which was very nice ...
The overall rating of the cruise may sound harsh for the sub ratings but hear me out.
Overall ship:
As others have pointed out, the Marella Voyager has been refurbished but it’s not a new ship. You can see old wood decor and wood ikea-type furnishing in the cabins. The facilities and plumbing appeared to be older but we never had any issues with this.
I don’t know whether it is due to the ...
Have to chuckle when you read other reviews, I don't know what people expect. Voyager is an older ship but fine, not in the RCL league but had no complaints. Deck 9 extra large balcony, very clean cabin, turn downs in the evening and tidy up during the morning was good. Always looked forward to the towel folding. Stewards Efendi, Faud & Rahul, top team, always greated with a smile and by our ...
This was my 5th marella cruise in 15 month and was terrible compared to the rest of the fleet.FOOD WAS DISGUSTING.
The fried eggs where burned on the bottom and around the white, but the rest of the white was still uncooked and snotery. In the kitchens it is the same food every lunch time The beef and chicken served in the all inclusive restuarants was tough and dry. Sevice in the bars was so ...
It was evident that a substantial amount of money was spent on refurbishing the ship, but elements remained outdated.
The itinerary of our second week was changed twice due to “construction work” and “water shortage”. This then resulted in an overnight stay in Barcelona in port.
Whilst we admired the concept of the Kitchens, we found the food cold, repetitive, and restrictive over the two ...
Friends recommended. From booking to end, it was a really good experience.
Staff on board were amazing. Always a cheerful greeting & so helpful.
The ship was very clean, every area spotless.
Restaurant staff were exceptional expecially in both Gallery 47 table area 11 & Gallery 47 tables 103..Gede Mark Trudi Omar & their respective teams..Staff in all bars, restaurants, entertainment, ...
So I’ve arrived back today after sailing on the voyager( tui ) ship for one week we were super excited to go on our first cruise , we had a good flight , but when we got to Palma airport we waited nearly a hour to get our cases. We were taking to the ship and it looked beautiful when walking on , the staff were amazing! In all departments Pippa was amazing helping us with our trips . ...
Having cruised on Marella Explorer a number of times, we felt we needed a change of venue, even though Voyager is a sister ship to the Explorer. With a new refit awaiting us we arrived at Palma, boarded the ship and immediately felt the new carpets under our feet and the new furniture in the public areas , all looking very smart. Our cabin was as we expected, nice and fresh, lovely fluffy towels ...
Just got back from a great cruise on voyager, this was our second cruise with Marella the other was on Explorer 2 last October, and loved that too.
Balcony cabin on deck 8 was lovely and loved the high back reclining chairs as apposed to normal chairs, roomy and spent many afternoons relaxing there. Special mention to Emily, Marvin and James who decorated room for my birthday and clever towel ...
