The Viking Ocean Star was the nicest ship I have been on and I have been on many. There were a few glitches but overall it was an outstanding trip. Staff excellent, food and service superb. Of the few issues we had one outstanding one was we did not have a 'sea' day and could fully utilize this wonderful ship.

Other issues dealt with the complimentary excursions, for some odd reason they were all timed at the same time and once we arrived anywhere, everyone else was there too. Very crowded and long lines. Toward the end of the cruise it seemed they fixed the situation and divided up the departure times better.

Another issue besides losing our dinner reservation for one of the specialty restaurants was changing the departure time that we the 'guest' chose. Often there was a reason a time was selected and it became incovenient when those times were changed without notice.

Cabin Review

Cabin penthouse

Comfortable, loved the bathroom, the sitting area, the balcony. Twin beds quite excellent.
