  3. Norwegian Getaway
This was our second (and last) Norwegian cruise. There was very little entertainment. There was one musical in the theater (Legally Blonde), and tickets were required. There was a magic show (extra fee), a wine musical (extra fee), and limited comedy shows. Everything requires a reservation, and there are not enough reservations available to accommodate everyone. If you don't make a reservation weeks before the trip, you probably won't see anything. Our food was mediocre at best. We had the meal plan, and definitely would not eat at any of the restaurants a second time. Service was slow. The buffet is a hot mess. Lines going in multiple directions - just mass chaos. It is totally self service. The ship is crowded. Sea days meant wandering around trying to find someplace to sit. This ship has lots of bars and seems to be all about drinking. The whole week was a huge disappointment. To top it off, Norwegian refused to give us the promised promotion of a dining plan and $50 per port discount on excursions. They asked if we could prove it. We had our confirmation, but it has their code on it, and only Norwegian knows what the code means. They advertised "pick two" free promotions. We chose two during our reservation process on the telephone, but they did not actually give them to us. I recommend cruising with Princess, where true service is provided and entertainment is provided throughout the day and evening.

Very Disappointed
