We have obviously loved cruising with Carnival. This was our 5th cruise in four years and we are one night away from moving up to gold level VIFP members. We have told numerous people how much we love Carnival and what a great value and great fun cruising is for us and our kids.

That being said, if this had been our first cruise, we would probably never choose to cruise again. It may have been the last cruise we choose to book through Carnival because each year, it becomes a less and less enjoyable experience.

The sensation is an older ship. Our room was an ocean view room in the front section of the boat. It's bathroom was much more updated than some and it was nice having a flat screen TV rather than an old tube TV with bad color. That's pretty much where the Sensation left off being any better than our other cruises.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6B

Appreciated the flat screen TV and the updated sink in the bath. Bed was crazy uncomfortable and hard and the "King" configuration kept sliding apart. In 4 other cruises, we never had that happen. Ship definitely feels worn and past it's prime.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Port Canaveral was absolutely the easiest port of call we have been to. The boarding process was fast and efficient. The disembarking process was equally easy, once we got off the ship! Parking at the port is expensive, but very convenient.

Nassau

I like porting near towns where people live and work. This one still feels very tourist trappy, but better than Freeport.

Freeport

Felt like a forced tourist area without access to a decent beach.
