I had been told by people that Celebrity was a cut above the rest. They must not have been on this ship. There was not much help from the first time we got on the ship right through getting off the ship. First off I had tried to contact Celebrity about me doing something special for my wife as we were celebrating our anniversary. The webpage doesn't work for that so I emailed them and didn't get an answer. I ordered a cake to be delivered to our state room the first night. While we were at the show they delivered it. The cake was beautiful and tasted very good. The cake was huge and needed to be refrigerated. Here is where the first problem was. We called down to room service for something to wrap up the cake. We were told they didn't have anything to wrap it up in. The refrigerator was small and was full of drinks for extra charge so we couldn't use it so we ended up throwing out the cake minus a couple of pieces. We upgraded our drink package to the premium package. The service at lunch and dinner was terrible as far as getting drinks, I guess that way they cut down on costs. The buffet was good with a few exceptions. At breakfast they had a poached egg stand that was manned by one person to serve the entire ship. At lunch they had a pasta station manned by one person. The ice cream station was manned by one person. Tables weren't being cleaned off. Coffee dispensers were always empty. The floors were filthy. We booked an excursion for Belize, in the morning the wife was sick so I headed down to the excursion desk. The desk was closed but there were three employees there. I went up to the desk to talk to them and the lady stuck the close sign in my face. The selection for dinner was subpar to other cruises I have been on. As to the other reviews I knew the ship was just coming out of dry dock and I knew not everything was going to be done until December so0 the construction didn't bother me. The only good service was at the café. The only thing great about the cruise other than being with my wife and friends was the entertainment. I doubt very much if I would ever use Celebrity again.
