I will be as sort and factual as possible. The room was lovely, couldn't fault it, ship was very plush, here end the good points. Added £100 to the room for gratuities, had to fight with the reception staff to get it removed, they acted like they were doing me a favour, pay the staff a living wage I say. Trips desk had no other information than wanted to sell their own really expensive tours. No transfers provided anywhere until all trips sold, then they would put a transfer bus on but you had to pay. Hardly anyone spoke English, least of all the staff. We asked for teabags in the buffet area because more often than not there were none, and every time without fail the staff walked off and never returned.

We purchased a balcony room and were faced with a massive lifeboat blotting out the view, check this doesn't happen to you. Ended up complaining to ABTA and after about 6 months got a partial refund. Food was not good, the childrens food in the buffet was the best. Tried the restaurant the first evening, all the food was over salted and then when we asked for water was told we had to buy it. Reception staff very rude, had obviously taken lessons in shouting down the passengers. Alcohol was £5 for a bottle of lager, and then they charge to bring it to you. It was basically awful, I would try another cruise line if I were you.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Sold as a balcony cabin, but massive 100 person lifeboat in front so no view.

Port Reviews

Bari

Lovely antiquated port.

Katakolon (Olympia)

Stayed in the harbor and looked around the shops. took the dotto train to the vineyards, very nice.

Izmir

The Town of Izmir is dirty and not much to see.

Istanbul

Fantastic, long walk, but walk to all the interesting places, the bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, The Royal Palace and gardens, The bridge over the Bosphorous, the spice market. You can do it in a day, the cruise ship charges you £150 p.p. for a similar trip with a bit of lunch.

Dubrovnik

Very pretty, harbour area beautiful.

Venice

Excellent, go on the water taxis to the different islands, Murano, Burano, see the gondolas parade up and down the main waterway, eat a pizza overlooking the water to the islands - fantastic.
