This was our first river cruise, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We started with a pre-cruise stay in Prague at the Hilton-Prague (beautiful hotel). Pre-booked two city tours (a walking/boat/dinner tour and a food tour the next day). Both took us to different areas of this fascinating city. Then it was off to Passau, Germany and the Legend on the Danube River. Wonderful trip visiting fascinating cities, beautiful churches, countryside and historic sites. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and clued us in to the real Von Trapp family history in Salzburg. Wish we had more time to spend in many of the places. Thank goodness for a/c in the hotel and on the Legend, as Europe was experiencing a drought and heat wave. Delicious food, wonderful service, friendly staff and--best of all--we didn't have to pack and unpack for one whole week! How good is that!
Tour guide's microphone didn't work, and it was almost impossible to hear what he was saying on our Salzburg tour. Very disappointing. Afterward, we ate lunch and walked about on our own.View All 70 Old Town Tour Reviews
Beautiful church and grounds with an interesting library with books over 1,000 years old. Shelves went from the floor to the ceiling on two levels.View All 182 Melk Abbey Reviews

Rather a short tour through a large palace.View All 179 Schonbrunn Palace Reviews
Kind of disappointing, Bus drives up hill so you can overlook the city on both sides of the river. Interesting to see the Communist-built apartment bldgs. now being painted different colors to brighten things up.
Bus tour of both Buda and Pest was interesting with a trip up the hill to see the church overlooking the city. Saw some of the refugees walking through downtown Budapest. Really enjoyed having the Legend go down the Danube at night to see the Parliament and other buildings with floodlights on them.View All 353 City Tour Reviews
