Ship's policy statement says a passenger may opt out of the automatic daily service charge by stopping by the customer service desk and asking for it. Not true in my case; I was told that I could not opt out (company policy) but that I could file a request, after the cruise was over, for a refund.

Several instances when cruise director either failed to make an announcement or contradicted an earlier statement, e.g. no public mention of a free shuttle bus when ship docked in the industrial area of Halifax and misinformed us on lifeboat drill procedures.

The sound system in the show rooms seemed to be cranked up to maximum which caused pain in the ear drums. We walked out of the Spinnaker Room after enduring 15 minutes of this.
