We boarded the Pearl Mist in Toronto, the start of a 10 day Cruise of all the Great Lakes with the exception of Superior. Like everything on the Pearl Mist, the boarding process was simple and easy, nothing like the frustrating process on mega-liners.

Throughout the Cruise the environment was relaxed and friendly, and the open schedule at meal times gave us opportunities to exchange stories and experiences with many well seasoned travelers. Evening entertainment was very low key, just a guitar and a piano, but every day we listened to a Presentation about our destination for the next day...it's history, it's culture, geology and wildlife, etc. We found it very interesting. The places we visited covered sizes over the full range, from Detroit to Parry Sound.

Our Cruise ended in Chicago, where the Tour Director and Staff showed their energy by coping well with a last minute change in Dock location
