Pros : The staff and their supervisors are amazing in supplying a very high level of service The comic quitar player and piano player are excellent The food is well prepared and the ship is very clean

Cons This is where the title quote comes into play I sat in on cruise critic meeting with the senior officers and asked them a number of questions as we have cruised on other lines and this was our first with Norwegian. You pay extra for everything on this ship. We were in an obstructed ocean view room as wanted the beverage package. You prepay your gratuities for the beverages and we were even charged some kind of tax while in Seattle waters. You pay a large amount for Wifi which is really needed as no outside information available and no sports bar or TV to watch anything but soccer and NFL. The TV in the room is from the 1990's and small. The entertainment is limited but good and always the room is over full. On other cruise types you have a lobster dinner/steak dinner and special dessert for free. Not here it will cost you $39.95 each at a specialty resterant. When I asked about this I was told that you should purchase the specialty resterant package for a lot of money and if I did not like this basically freestyle cruising was not for everyone. I would much prefer the anytime dining with other lines that include this. A large number of rooms are prebooked during at sea days so hard to find a place to sit so if you do not have a balcony as no good spots and we were at sea a lot on an Alaskan cruise. O'sheehans is very good To finish if you are willing to pay use Norwegian If not go elsewhere.
