The cruise was excellent from a ship and service point of view. My husband's luggage was misdirected. A Viking representative was there to immediately at the airport to help with the tracing paperwork . The bag showed up the next day after taking a trip to Czechoslovakia - traveled well from Minneapolis!
Most of the tours delivered as described. Frustrations abound for a couple of tour members that were late, thus causing us to have a very shortened time in Pompeii. Venice walking tour turned out to be a tour of the Basilica and the Doge Palace...description of this tour needs rework. We expected more walking and talk about Venice itself.
Viking could do better description when describing the walking required for a tour - lots of the walking was too difficult for some of the participants. Possibly add how far the tours will walk and how much time will be spent standing.
Very comfortable cabin with kind bed and balcony. Daily service exceptional. Any and all requests were filled with no issue. Room had a refrigerator stocked with sodas each day.
Snacks consisted of two candy bars and a bag of chips....could upgrade this a bit.
Coffee maker in the room with k-cup set up....very good coffee. Lotion, shampoo and conditioner was provided. Products were high quality and we never ran out. Television in the room was more than adequate. Suggestion to Viking that there could be a ship document that provided more about the ship - i.e, miscellaneous facts -amount of food used, travel speed, and other general details that make for good conversation.
