Sail Date: Aug 2015
Cabin: Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

We travelled from within Spain by car to Barceleona the day before we were due to sail. Parked in the World Trade Centre Car Park, using their cruise parking deal, and stayed in the hote located above it - the Eurostar Grand Marina. The hotel was good with fantastic views of Barcelona and literally just a few minutes from the cruise port, visible from the hotel.

Embarcation at noon was smooth, with no queues. Of course not all 6000+ guests were boarding as several thousand had already boarded in Rome. This also meant that as some people were ashore on excursions we had no trouble having a mid-day snack at the Park Cafe.

Our cabin was ready promptly at 1 o'clock.

Boardwalk View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin B1

Excellent. Well laid out. Plenty of storage space. End of corridor so no noise. Fantastic views from balcony.

Port Reviews

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

Just get shuttle bus which drops you not far from Cathedral.

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Easy to do on your own. Leave ship early - take shuttle to exit port - make for rail station by following promenade. Buy return ticket to St Peter's station Rome. Remember to validate your ticket in the machines provided - this is important.

Naples

Took hydrofoil to Sorrento. Pier just alongside cruise ship.
