I felt that this cruise was very impersonal and that the objective appeared to be to get me to constantly spend more money, despite having an inferior service and facilities than previously. I was also very disappointed with the meals in the my time dining room in comparison to those I have received in the past. There were a number of occasions I had to send some meals back. Steak incorrectly cooked and still incorrect after three attempts. Also the Caesar salad looked like it had been made for some time so quite unappetising. Also every night, I had to ask for another fork as they were all bent!! I also felt that we were rushed through. I understand the ship was busy but the tables and chairs were so close together it was difficult to get through. On a positive note on one night in the main dining room we were served by Julio, Jonathan and wine waiter Jackson. This was the only time, apart from the suite lounge, that I felt we were treated as individuals. These gentlemen are a definite asset to the ship.
The restaurants that had a supplement that we attended were, however, far superior. I feel I should not have to pay a premium after already spending a substantial amount on the cruise itself.
On the marseille day we decided to stay on board and avail ourselves of the ships many facilities. I was very disappointed to see that the majority were closed - even the club suite sun deck which was opened up after I complained.
