Cabin: Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
Never having been on a cruise before We listened to many people rave about Holland America and selected them.
We really enjoyed the trips off the ship and listening to the tour guides. The tour guides were very good but the bus rides are killers, no room for legs, even in 60 degree weather air conditioners need to run so windows did not fog!
Our first night was in the Anchorage Hilton and that Hilton is not up to Hilton Standards!

Needed cleaning upon arrival, sofa bed cushion was all stained and dirty, lumps in floor at foot of bed, toilet overflowed then later would not flush. After the first night cabin was well taken care of by stewards. Sofa bed is in sad shape even after cleaning, many parts of the cabin are showing its age and hard use!
