Before cruising, I read many reviews about how "tired" the Dawn looked. It was FINE! Jeez. It was clean and colorful and bright with light.

The pool area was small but always so much fun. The small size brought people together. We made friends easily as did our three children (ages 24, 21, and 16). The 16 yo found a group of kids to hang with when he first visited the teens club. We sometimes caught sight of the "herd grazing" as they wandered through the pool area, cafe, or library.

Be friendly to a bartender (Brian!) and tip him/her well and you'll find your experience poolside (or anywhere) much more fun. We received fine, timely and friendly service and our friends in turn did also. [Two of our family had the Ultimate Bev Pkg. Three of us didn't. Gratuity is already on the bill at 18% but we found it valuable to tip an extra dollar per beverage.] The bartenders find ways of accommodating a large, friendly group like bringing buckets of ice to keep drinks cold and at-hand. We were never empty-handed. Water too!
