We arrived in Copenhagen 1 day before embarkation, stayed at Hotel Kong Arthur it is a nice hotel but although in walking distance is not central to Tivoli etc.,topped and tailed our cruise with a stay there, toured Copenhagen using Ho Ho bus, this was badly signposted and very infrequent would think before trying this,if not using the ships Copenhagen tours,Copenhagen is a charming city made even better with the excellent weather which followed us throughout this cruise, watch for the crazy cyclists!!
This was our 5th cruise overall and our 3rd with NCL
The Star is a very spruced up and well appointed ship, the food was excellent in all the restaurants Versailles and Aqua and O'Sheehans the buffet Market Garden not good,go to main dining or OSheehans for breakfast or lunch if on board, the speciality restaurants we dined in Moderno excellent salad bar , however the meat served was average ,La Cucina excellent Italian meal,Le Bistro our 2nd cruise where the meal here was not good,Teppanyaki excellent experience, seafood was good, try the beef dishes also!,Cagneys was an excellent steakhouse meal the ports visited where all well worth the travel, Excursions ,Berlin (TJ Tours)was excellent,Tallin (city discovery HoHo bus )was average.St Petersburg (TJ Tours was exceptional ,Helsinki (TJ Tours)very good, epensive place but my wife , got served the best seafood soup she has ever had ,Stockholm Ho Ho bus poor and overall I would certainly recommend it, an eye opening trip with many outstanding sights. Entertainment was good but not exceptional.
A not particularly well serviced ,but comfortable room ,possible trainee attendants
NICE CITY
ho ho bus was a shambolic disaster, no commentary and then dropped us off at the ferry terminal 1mile from the ship,go with a ships tour!!
