Just cruised the day before on the NCL Getaway. Stayed at Sofitel, Miami before the Getaway and will be staying after this cruise. We have already booked our next stay there. If you like Europeon style service, this is your hotel. The food is wonderful but pricy( Burger King is a 2 block no intersect walk) We had our best cruise ever on the Getaway the day before. Embarkations was average, no ship brochures were available. You had to get them from the Ship Office. We had the Complete Package, or so we thought. The room key worked. The Aft Balcony cabins was small. You walk thru the bathroom to enter the cabin. Everything is curved. Lighting is horrible. The only place you can read at night is lying in bed. The curved couch is useless. You can't see the Tv from it! Tried to get a drink and our drink package was not on the card. I don't know who designed the EPIC but I know why NCL only has 1. To get to the ships office from Aft, you take the elevator to 6, walk thru the casino, be careful there is a blind trap if you go the wrong side, find the esclator, if it's working, decend to 5. We where not the only passengers with problems. After waiting in line for30 minutes, we were informed that we were in the wrong line. We had to wait in line for our Beverage decal and get inin another line and do it all over again for our Ding Package. The real rub was just begining, every drink you ordered was signed for one shot at a time, everytime. With 5200 onboard( Never sail with a kids stay free offer) the wait staff was onerwhelm the entire cruise. Service suffered
Wasted money. I love walkin thru my bathroom to enter to cabin. The curved surfaces are neat but total unfunctional. The lighting is horrible, the only place to read is lying down in bed. The couch is uncomfotable, you can't see anytrhing from it. The curves have you facing the closet. The cabin Stewart eas terriffic.
