Overall, yes this cruise didn't quite live up to expectations, but it wasn't bad either. This was the first time we had cruised RCL, having cruised 5 times previously with Thomson.

We are a family of 3, with an 8 year old and embarkation was mercifully quick. RCL recognised that we had a child and fast tracked us through, for which we were hugely grateful.

On arrival at our cabin we discovered that there only appeared to be 2 beds. I trooped off to try and see what was going on and I joined the (very long) queue of people with gripes. The 2 people in front of me were having a go about the size of their staterooms. Now, I have to say that my stateroom (an outside with picture window) was perfectly adequate and had enough storage space, so I really didn't get their problem. I think the trouble was that they were expecting suites!! Anyway, the 3rd bunk was lowered out of the ceiling so that we all had a bed, and very comfortable they were too. Why they weren't ready when we boarded, I don't know. Safety deposit boxes are free (about the only thing that RCL do for free!)

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Perfectly adequate size with a decent amount of storage. Beds were very comfortable.
