Sail Date: Apr 2015

This was our favorite cruise ever, thanks to Captain Lis and her wonderful crew! The ship was beautiful, we had many activities which were attended by Captain Lis, Cruise Director, Steve, and the whole crew. I've never seen such crew participation on a cruise, and I've been on more than 50 cruises. In addition to the fun activities organized by the ship, we also enjoyed activities organized by our Cruise Critic Roll Call, such as a Cabin Crawl, Slot Pull, and two lunches in the MDR, one before the Cabin Crawl, and one for those of us who had cruised on the Oasis Westbound TA last October (thanks, Tim and Sue!).

My DH played chess every day with two friends he met, and I enjoyed rehearsing for and singing in the Vision of the Seas Guest Choir (thanks, Kenny Washington, one of the Vision singers, who was our Choir Director).

The food was great in the MDR, Park Café, and Windjammer. We did not go to any specialty restaurants this time. We also enjoyed room service breakfast in our cabin twice.

Cabin Review

Cabin Panoramic View

Our cabin was a Panoramic View, and it was wonderful! We enjoyed the spaciousness of it and the window seat. The bed is near the bathroom, and the large sofa is near the window. Highly recommend.

Port Reviews

Key West

We always like Key West. We wandered around near where the ship docked and had an enjoyable day. We particularly enjoy the Cuban history and atmosphere there.

Tampa

We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Ybor City. The hotel was nice with a great breakfast, and we enjoyed the proximity to the port. On cruise day, we could see our ship from the window in our room.

Madeira (Funchal)

We took the teleferico (cable car) to Monte where we walked around, saw the church and gardens, and enjoyed the spectacular views. After that, we returned to town, ate lunch in a small outdoor café, and did more sightseeing. It was a very enjoyable day.

Gibraltar

Gibraltar was our favorite port, in fact, it was the main reason we took this cruise. We took a city bus to the cable car boarding station, and took the cable car to the Top of the Rock where we stayed a couple of hours enjoying the spectacular views and seeing the Barbary Apes. After that, we went back to Casements Square, had a lovely British lunch, and wandered around sightseeing. It was perfect!

Malaga

We did not get off the ship in Malaga, since we had been there before, and we preferred a quiet ship day. However, the last time we were there, we enjoyed it very much.
