We picked this ship because of the itinerary. We had an aft concierge cabin and the large deck was worth the up-charge, plus the itinerary suited an aft for earlier sailaways and the Canal journey. The ship was very clean having just returned from a noro-cruise and we all remarked we must be the cleanest passengers on the cleanest ship. As the days went on the ship appeared to return to fairly normal procedures as far as service, but the cleaning continued which made these two cruisers very happy.
The food in the main dining room was fairly mediocre and that was a disappointment, but we compensated by eating in the alternative dining rooms, the SS United States and QSine and were very happy in both those restaurants. Also very good and fresh food in a tucked away non-busy dining line in the Solarium and we ate our lunches there. Cocktail hour on the Sunset along with some excellent sushi available in the Oceanview made late afternoons after tours special. Oceanview was fine for breakfast. We grabbed pizza one day although it was alittle overdone and always looked that way. Ice cream one hot afternoon was good (and fun toppings).
The ports were adequate - not too many, not too few and we were very happy for the tours for the dollar paid. There seemed to be at least one that would suit everyone. These were not "beachy ports" and some stops are shipping ports so tours were important. Celebrity handled tour departures in a very organized manner and with the exception of the Guatemala stop which seemed alittle chaotic as many onboard were taking the self-guided tour which was a bus trip to Antigua, but we experienced no delays on the remaining tours. The tours also included hand wipes after every stop provided by Celebrity, a nice touch considering what had happened on the ship's previous cruise.
Aft cabin was tight, good closet space, small bath with shower but the deck is huge and makes the space for two people manageable.
