I am not the type of person to ever complain or go online and post reviews. However, I felt like everyone should know the pro’s and con’s to this cruise ship and the experience I had. My brother and his fiancé traveled last year on Norwegians’ Getaway and had the best time ever, so they decided to bring me along on the Epic to Western Caribbean. This is the first cruise I have ever been on and I can honestly say I will never sail with Norwegian again. The ship was HUGE, lots of nightly entertainment (shows, bands..ect) but really not a lot to do during the day accept for sit out by the pool (which I will get into later) and gamble (they have a large casino on board).

Entertainment- I had been waiting months to book my entertainment on my NCL.com account so all I had to do on Embarkment day was checkin and explore the ship. They did not have anything online to reserve until I got on the ship. I spent over an hour trying to work touch screen monitors to book my entertainment because there were so many people trying to do the same thing else where on the ship that it took forever. They replaced Blue Man Group with a nice show called “Oh What a Night” (a knock off of broadway show “Jersey Boys”) none the less, it was a good show overall.

Stateroom- I booked a large balcony stateroom. It was just as the pictures presented it to be. It was very nice..Balcony was very large. Room was clean and tidy. There was a mechanical issue of some sort under the side of the ship I was on (I was on the 12th floor mind you) and my room vibrating 24-7. Not from wind, or the normal sea movement, but vibrating. I called guest services and they sent a supervisor up to check on the issue. He said that there was clearly and issue and he would let guest services know. They called me and told me that we were at full capacity and had ONE stateroom left that they could give me, it was NOT a large balcony stateroom. I told them that I spent extra money so I could have a large balcony stateroom and (seeing it was Day 1 still) if they could reimburse me for the cost that I spent if they couldn’t move me to the same large balcony room or for that matter upgrade me for free for the inconvenience. They said they could not do anything else for me. I refused to move and lose out on more money. That was that. I dealt with it for 7 days.
